November is officially over and Christmas is quickly approaching! How many of you have started checking names off your gift list? Because I for one, have not. (oops!) I know how difficult and time consuming it is finding the "perfect" gift for your loved one. I decided to put together a few gift guides in order to make your shopping easier.

3. Beret
6. Mules

FYI: Everything I included in this beauty gift guide is V (except ecobrow) & CF.

Natural Skin Care (Only $1!)

I've hit that age where skin care is a priorty. It's so important for me to have clean, smooth, hydrated skin. To be honest, I have never had any major skin issues. It's pretty normal for me to experience hormonal breakouts and breakouts from stress. (Thank you school.) But a few months ago I began noticing dry patches on my skin. I do have dry skin in general but nothing a cleanser and a moisturizer can't fix. These dry patches were so terrible that no moisturizer did me any justice. When I applied makeup it looked horrendous! Therefore, I began wearing makeup about once a month, so I could focus on the condition of my skin. From research I found one of the best, most natural ways to conquer my skin issue. ALOE VERA!! I will say skin care can be pricey but this plant does wonders and you can find it at just about any grocery store. I get mine at a hispanic grocery store for only $1!
(photo off google)

What is it? Aloe vera is a plant species that contains a gel full of vitamins, enzymes and amino acids that can treat the skin. (It has various benefits but I'm focusing on skin benefits.)

How do I use it? I cut off a little piece from the plant and open it up so I'm able to use the gel. I rub it on my skin (am & pm) in circular motions and leave it on for about 20 minutes. After it dries I like to rinse it off with water and dry my face with dapping motions. I do leave it on at night about twice a week. After rinsing it off, my skin feels so fresh and smooth! Once I've rinsed it off I like to moisturize but I know some people like to leave it on as a moisturizer.

How has aloe vera helped my skin? For starters, my dry patches have disappeared!! I'm finally able to wear makeup without worrying about the crazy patches I had going on. I like to pick my face, resulting in minor scaring :-) and since I've started using the aloe vera gel they have faded. The appearance of redness and discoloration has lessened. My skin has brightened and smoothed my skin. I always get complimented on how radiant my skin is.

The holidays are here and it is no secret it is my absolute favorite time of year! From the temperature dropping, leaves changing colors, Christmas decorations going up, holiday movie marathons, I become joyful. The older I become, the more I continue to fall in love with the holidays. Lets hope I continue feeling this way once I have kids of my own right?? (Not any time soon!!) Any who, besides the joyfulness, I also start to be more grateful. A whole new year is approaching and I can't help but to reminisce and reflect on what this year brought. With the spirit of Thanksgiving coming up, here are 5 things I am grateful for.

1. My family.
I'm so lucky to have such a strong support system. My parents, boyfriend, siblings and dogs make life easier.

2. My health.
I treat my body well by nourishing it with healthy food, plenty of sleep and excercise. I have a strong body and mind.

3. A warm home.
We don't realize how good we have it until we educate ourselves on the living conditions of others. Heaters in this cold don't exist to others.

4. The small and free pleasures of life.
A sunrise, a walk in the park, trees with their vibrant colored leaves.

5. I am alive.
People don't realize how quickly this can be taken from us. I get to see another day and hopefully many more to come.

What are you grateful for?

Spring Blues

This post was supposed to be up on the first day of spring but unfortunately I have had way TOO much going on that I had to postpone. I thought I'd share with you guys a few purchases I've made for the season and they all have something similar going on.... The spring blues!

My Purchases

Off the shoulder tops/dresses are so cute and trendy. This top is very flattering!

The color white is a major spring staple. These Paige ones are absolutely amazing and SO comfy!! There are so many ways to style them.

I am a sucker for anything with tassels! I think they're so cute and stylish. Perfect for both spring and summer. Under $60 and great quality.

I have these in navy blue and they're so comfortable for flats! I usually tend to stay away from flats but I thought they were too cute to not get and I don't regret it whatsoever. I actually have more espadrilles than I should have :) (oops!) But they're so easy to either dress up or dress down.

I ordered these online as soon as I came across them!

I may or may not have gone crazy with the stripes this season but I think this year it's everywhere! These sleeves roll up for those who are concerned that it may get to hot for this piece.

I'm really trying to be more consistent so thank you to those who still stop by <3
